2020 marked 50 years since the Equal Pay Act was brought into law in the UK. Looking back to 1970, women across the country were hopeful about the changes to come, but were their hopes met?

We speak to alumna volunteer Ghonche Alavi (MA Public Policy, 2015) and Professor Neil Greenberg (from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience) about their experiences during the pandemic.

The pandemic has had a profound impact on the environment, with lockdown measures resulting in reduced air pollution in most parts of the world. We explore King’s climate ambitions, and what the future holds for the climate crisis in a changed world.

In April 1945, the British Army liberated Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Just weeks later, a convoy of 96 medical students from Guy’s, King’s, St Thomas’ (GKT), and other medical schools arrived to assist in the recovery effort, saving thousands of lives in the process.
